Carbodeon granted Japanese Patent for Zeta-Negative Nanodiamond Dispersions

Helsinki, Finland - 18th December 2017

European nanodiamond producer Carbodeon has been granted a Japanese patent, number 6234467, for its zeta-negative nanodiamond dispersions and their manufacturing method.

“Being one of the leading high-tech countries, Japan is a very important market for us and there are several Japanese customer success stories applying our now patent granted carboxylated nanodiamond dispersion materials” said Dr Vesa Myllymäki, CEO of Carbodeon.

The now patented zeta-negative nanodiamond dispersions are advantageously applied in direct applications such as CMP polishing, polymer mechanical and thermal compounds, PTFE and other fluoropolymer coatings, transparent top coatings, biomedical applications and also as starting materials for producing nanodiamond materials with other type of surface functionalization.

All the Carbodeon nanodiamond materials are available in Japan through our distributor AR Brown (
